I am particularly drawn to artists who focus on natural light and weather because I enjoy painting gardens, sunsets and stormy skies. Monet’s use of colour in his garden paintings interests me because it shows how light can transform a familiar place. Turner’s dramatic sunsets inspire me to experiment with expressive colour in the sky, while Constable’s cloud studies help me understand how to make skies feel realistic and structured.

Monet colourful gardens and ponds draw me in very serene and peaceful … different times of day which show different lighting and his way of painting.

Boat in a lake … the sunset you could just feel yourself in that boat snoozing 😴 I’d love to be able to paint like this .

Casper David Friedrich – moody landscape, storms, mist and solitude,

The tree of crows 🐦‍⬛ and The wanderer – takes me to a place of solitude and connects with the grief I feel .. the wanderer alone looking out to the sea … maybe feeling lost in turmoil.
